How Do I Add A Product for the Website?

1.  Go into ECS program
2.  Click on the Product Module or go to Modules at the top and choose Equipment.

3.  Click on the + button.

4.  In Make/Type choose Primary Category (click here to learn how to add more categories), i.e. Celebrations, Holidays, Business, Thinking of You, etc.

5.  Choose a SecCat "Secondary Category" i.e., Birthday, Father's Day, Baby, Get Well, etc.

6.  Choose a SubCat "Third Category" (this is if you want it to go into a secondary category besides the Sec Cat you chose) i.e., Gourmet Cookies, Cookie Cakes, Thinking of You, Just For Kids, etc.
7.  Then type in the Item number, i.e., BD201, BD202, etc. Just remember this is going to the web so make sure that this product doesn't already exist. (You can do this by going to the website

8.  Then enter in the name of the product.

9.  Make sure the status is 'A' for active. 
10.  If the Basket Type is Decorative then put in DECRO if not leave blank.
11.  Can Ship, put a 'Y' for yes or a 'N' for no.
12.  # Cookies, this is how many cookies are in the arrangement.
13.  Taxable, if yes then put a 'Y' if not then a 'N'.
14.  Price.  The amount of the arrangement as is.
15.  Short Description.  This can only be 225 bites (two lines). 
16.  Long Description.  Can put more of the description.  This will appear when they click to enlarge the product.

17.  Click on Default Picture to choose the image for the product.  This image will be uploaded to the site as well.
18.  A box will pop up, choose the image, then click open.

19.  When you've added the picture click on the bottom tab on your right called, Rates/Settings
20.  To Publish to Web put a 'Y' in the box.

21.  Popular or Sequence tells the website where the product should place.  If you wish it to be number one, put 01, otherwise you can put in other numbers.

22.  Keywords are those that a customer would put in to search for this product.  The best keywords are to put in the secondary category such as birthday, get well, Valentine's Day, etc.  Then put in the shapes of the cookies, colors used, feelings associated with it.  Anything you can think of, the more you put in the more chances people are to find this product.

23.  Then press F12.  It will ask you if want to save changes.  Click Yes.

24.  Then click on the tab at the top that says 'Extended Attr' for Extended Attributes.  This is how you will add the cookie arrangement sizes. -- If this is a product with a decorative basket, then you are finished.
25.  Click on the Add/Edit Attributes button.

26.  A box will appear.  Click on the + sign next to Cookie Number

27.  Then double click on the - sign where the + sign was.  All of those attributes will appear in the top box.

28.  Then press the Exit button.

29.  Then you will see something in the grid.  Press the big green arrow to finish the add.

30.  The cookies will add to the attributes.

31.  Then your finished.  When the next download happens this product will be uploaded to the website.
