How Do I Add a Product for the Cash Register?

1.	Go into the E-Commerce Station
2.	Click on the Product Module

3.	The products listing will appear. Click on the + sign.

4.	A blank form will appear
5.	Select MISC from the Make Type drop down.

6.	Select from the Sec Cat what product this is: Cook = Cookies, DRIN = Drink, ICEC = Ice Cream, Misc = Everything Else. You can change these sec cats. Click here to find out how.

7.	Enter in the Item #: i.e., COOKIE01, CK01, ICEC201 -- since this is for the cash register and not for the website you can enter in anything that makes sense to you.

8.	Then enter in the name of the product.

9.	You don't need to put anything in the Quantity section, but you do need to have an 'A' in status for the product to appear in the cash register.
10.	If there is a Basket Type you can enter that in, if it can ship, or put the number of cookies if applicable, otherwise you can leave it blank.
11.	If it is taxable put a Y in the box.

12.	Next put in the price.

13.	Next put in the large description, but with products for the cash register you really don't need it.
14.	If the product has a picture you can click on Default picture, choose the image, click ok. If it doesn't no need to worry.

15.	Click on the Rate/Settings Tab.

16.	In Cash Req Group type: CSH, this tells the cash register it has a product.

17.	Account Code needs to be 0001
18.	Taxable, you need to put a Y or N depending on the product.

19.	Publish to Web needs to be N because this is for the cash register, not an arrangement.
20.	Popular Code is for the website, so this can be left to N for the cash register.
21.	You do not need keywords for a cash register item either.
22.	Now that your done you can click on Product Listing or the + sign if you are going to add another product.
23.	It will ask if you wish to save changes, click yes.

24.	Now you can open up the POS_Cash.exe (the cash register and your new product will be displayed.
